Ecos de Muros: Unha Viaxe polo Tempo e a Natureza

Echoes of Muros: A Journey Through Time and Nature is a visual exploration of the rich textures, histories, and emotions that shape the coastal town of Muros, Galicia. Born from a personal journey to reconnect with a place that holds my most cherished memories, the ocean, my grandmother, the neighbors, the cats and snails, and the happy moments of childhood, it reflects on the passage of time and the resilience of nature. After 15 years away, and having lost my grandmother, my uncle, and the family home, this visit was a way to heal and honor the past.

Through a series of images, the project delves into the layers of time, nature, and human resilience. Each photograph tells a story, capturing the quiet elegance of decay, the enduring power of nature, and the intimate relationship between people and their environment. From the rugged textures of weathered stone to the soft embrace of fog over the sea, the images reflect the beauty of what remains and what has been lost.

This journey brought closure to my inability to attend the funerals of my loved ones, but it also left me with a deep melancholy for how time transforms everything. It is a tribute to the past, a celebration of the enduring power of nature, and a reminder that even as people fade away, their echoes remain within us. It invites viewers to reflect on their own connections to place, memory, and the timeless rhythms of the natural world.
